Democrats, don’t be fooled by another MAGA masquerading as a Democrat; there is only one true Democrat on the ballot for County Judge, Letitia Plummer.
If I ran as a Democrat and told people I only vote for people who are Latino, male, and straight, would most democrats vote for me? I don’t think so, but here in Harris County, we have a Democrat running for Harris County Judge. She has admitted that she has supported people who are Republicans because of one quality: they are gay and openly running as gay candidates.
Below is what current Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo had to say about Annise Parker.
Today, I want to send a clear message to Democratic primary voters in Harris County: Annise Parker doesn’t represent our values. This is not politically convenient for me—to speak against a known political player in our County. But I have found too many Democratic voters don’t know this—
Annise Parker heartily endorsed and hosted fundraisers for Kim Ogg. Even after it was clear that there was no substance behind her attacks on county employees that cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
She invited the TEA takeover of HISD.
In fall 2022 she refused to support our ticket when a far-right, election denying extremist ran against me. The opponent at the time, on the record, she refused to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the election.
She will follow John Whitmire’s playbook, capitulating to Donald Trump and Greg Abbott. Annise Parker is Kim Ogg 2.0
I will allow the other viable candidate to continue to make herself known. We do not need another John Whitmire, another Kim Ogg, etc. There is another option in our Democratic primary for County Judge.
Annise Parker refused to support the Democrat Lina Hidalgo against a far-right extremist. Think on that, why would Annise Parker not endorse the Democrat? MAGAs spent millions to beat Lina Hidalgo and failed. I expect the MAGs will fund much of Annise Parker’s campaign, just as they did for John Whitmire’s. Whitmire won with MAGA support.
Annise Parker asked the MAGA governor to take over our largest school district, where Democrats had a majority.
Annise Parker and Kim Ogg go way back. Ogg was doing the bidding of the MAGAs in attacking Democrats, which is why Ogg was censored by the Harris County Democratic Party. Annise Parker did not care; she went ahead and endorsed and supported Kim Ogg. Kim Ogg, now a MAGA, has endorsed Annise Parker for County Judge.
Annise Parker, as a leader of the Gay community, has never stood up for Latinos. Do you think an old dog will learn new tricks? Parker, like Ogg, is a MAGA in disguise, and became a Democrat probably because the Republicans are not accepting of her kind, but she still supports them.
