On August 27, 2026, I announced that Meme the Rain Man had chosen Chihuahua. I studied the weather maps, considered the drought, and prayed for rain. I also explained the rules: if it rained, I would return to claim credit; otherwise, I might be unavailable for several weeks. In April of this year, I prayed for Rain as Corpus Christi, Texas, was running low on water. My prayers worked. So I decided to try my prayers again as Chihuahua was in desperate need of rain; my prayers worked again. Now if they only worked when I buy those billion-dollar lotto tickets.
Severe Flooding in Chihuahua, Mexico
Chihuahua state is experiencing catastrophic flooding after a combination of heavy rains, dam overflows, and storm systems, with major infrastructure damage, community displacement, and at least one confirmed fatality.
Scope and Causes
A slow-moving low-pressure trough, Cold Front Number 3, and an atmospheric river linked to Hurricane Polo have triggered severe, localized convective cloudbursts across the state

Well, here I am.
Chihuahua has received rain, and some of it has been considerably more enthusiastic than requested. Reports from September 28 describe 50 vehicles stranded in Chihuahua capital, 15 fallen trees, and three homes attended because of flooding. The rain is real, and so are the difficulties facing people caught in it.
For the record, I ordered rain. I did not order fallen trees, flooded houses, or automobiles attempting to become boats. Apparently, the heavenly delivery department needs a better system for handling special instructions.
Meteorologists will have their explanations. They can bring out their satellite pictures, discuss moisture, and draw arrows across the map. I have no objection to their explaining how the rain arrived; I simply ask that they remember who submitted the request.
Some skeptics may point out that more than a month has passed since my announcement. These people apparently expect heaven to operate with Amazon delivery times. A prayer is a prayer, and I never purchased expedited shipping.
In the meantime, my sympathy goes to those dealing with the damage, and my thanks to the people helping them. The Rain Man’s next request will specify gentle rain, over the places that need it, with the faucet turned off before trouble begins.
As for the commemorative plaque mentioned in my original announcement, there is no hurry. Let us get everybody safely home first. Then we can discuss where Chihuahua intends to put it.
